Suspected herdsmen kill Deeper Life pastor John Ajav in Benue
Armed gunmen suspected to be herdsmen have reportedly killed a Deeper Life Pastor, John Torbee Ajav, Tuesday morning in Benue State.
Eyewitnesses also said three people including two females were shot dead in their farm by herders on Monday.
Pastor John was killed while on his way to Gbajimba to attend a religious function.
The late John was a pastor with the Deeper Life Church in Umenger.
As of the time of filing this report, the State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Catherine Anene, could not be reached for comment.
Meanwhile, the killing of the pastor was also confirmed on Facebook by Dr Tivlumn Nyitse, Chief of Staff to the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom, around 3:00pm on Tuesday.
