Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa is close to a move to Premier League club West Bromwich Albion on a permanent deal.

The former Leicester City striker has been a free agent since he left Saudi Arabia club Al Nassr in October 2020.

The Baggies have requested a UK visa for the 28-year-old and he would be expected to have his medical examination on Wednesday.

West Brom Manager, Allardyce wants to bolster his attacking options and believes Musa’s pace and power can add another dimension to his struggling side as they look to avoid relegation.

Also, the Nigeria captain believes he has ‘unfinished business’ in the Premier League.

In 2016, Musa joined Leicester from CSKA for a club-record £16.6million.

Yet, despite an impressive start where he scored a spectacular brace in a pre-season game against Barcelona, he drifted out of form. He still managed to star for his country though in the 2018 World Cup and was sold to Al Nassr for £14.5m.

There he won the Saudi Premier League and Saudi Super Cup but left by mutual consent in November.
