State of Nigeria’s economy makes me unhappy – Buhari
Nigeria’s President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.) on Friday says he is unhappy with the deplorable state of the nation’s economy.
Buhari stated this Friday night during an interview with the Nigerian Television Authority in Abuja.
The president said the low performance of the economy has been a thing of concern to him, adding that his administration was doing everything possible to improve it.
He also urged Nigerians to take up agriculture in a bid to boost the economy.
The President said, “I’m not comfortable with Nigeria’s economy and that is why I’m working hard to get foreign nations to invest in our country.
“We need people to go back to the farm, there are people leaving their air-conditioned office and going back to the farm and this has helped us as a country.”
On corruption, President Buhari said it was high time special courts were established to try several corruption cases currently stuck in conventional courts.
