The Super Eagles of Nigeria have touched down in Cape Verde for their second World Cup qualifying match.
Nigeria’s football team landed at the Cesária Évora International Airport, Sao Vincente, Cape Verde, on Monday, according to the Super Eagles official Instagram page.
Gernot Rohr’s men hope to maintain a 100 per cent record when they face the Blue Sharks of Cape Verde on Tuesday.
WuzupNigeria reported that Leicester City forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, fired Nigeria to the top of Group C with a brace against Liberia over the weekend.
Cape Verde who played a 1-1 draw against the Central African Republic are now third on the table after Liberia defeated CAR on Monday in their second qualifying match.
Meanwhile, Rohr would be without, Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Alex Iwobi, Olaoluwa Aina, William Ekong, Leon Balogun, Oghenekaro Etebo, and Joseph Ayodele-Aribo.
Tuesday’s encounter will hold at the 5,000 –capactiy Estádio Municipal Adérito Sena.
