Nigerian entertainer Speed Darlington, popularly known as Akpi, has criticised his former manager, Goskey, amid a public dispute over alleged unpaid salaries and accusations of mistreatment during their professional relationship.

The rapper expressed his displeasure in a video that circulated on X on October 9, 2026, questioning the need for a manager and arguing that employing one would only put additional pressure on his finances.

Addressing the controversy, Akpi said: “Why I no go use you? You need to be used. You’re very useless, if not a fraud. I’m sure you can’t afford to buy a car. You used your own hand to make yourself my manager. Me wey dey look for who go serve me. What I want is someone that will be answering me ‘Sir’ from morning till night,” he said.

He also dismissed the idea of retaining a manager, suggesting that he would rather hire someone to attend to his personal needs than share his earnings with a professional representative.

“Wetin I wan do with manager? So my money go finish sharp sharp abi? I don’t need a manager because I don’t want anybody to eat my money. What I need is a house help,” he added.

Goskey Accuses Rapper of Withholding Three Years’ Salary

The latest outburst followed allegations made by Goskey, who claimed that the rapper failed to pay him for three years despite their working relationship.

The former manager also accused Speed Darlington of creating an unfavourable working environment, further intensifying the disagreement between the pair.

According to Goskey, the rapper received ₦30 million for his boxing encounter with fellow entertainer Carter Efe but allegedly paid him only a small portion of the proceeds.
