Singer Jhene Aiko to host 2021 Grammy Awards
American singer and songwriter, Jhene Aiko has been appointed to take on hosting duties at the 2021 Grammy Awards premiere ceremony.
The Recording Academy announced on March 2 that the Grammy-nominated artiste would host the pre-show, where coveted trophies are awarded.
The ceremony would be streamed live on the Grammy’s website ahead of the 63rd annual ceremony on March 14.
It is scheduled to hold in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.
Aiko’s third studio album “Chilombo” has been nominated for album of the year and best progressive R&B album. She is also up for the best R&B performance award for her song “Lightning & Thunder,” featuring John Legend.
Originally scheduled to hold in January, the 2021 Grammy Awards was subsequently postponed to March due to the “deteriorating COVID situation in Los Angeles.”
