Shooting Stars coach urges focus for positive results
Despite extending their unbeaten run to three games with a 1-1 draw against Katsina United, Shooting Stars head coach Gbenga Ogunbote acknowledges the team’s recent struggles.
He described the run as a “temporary setback,” not a “disaster,” and expressed confidence in their ability to improve.
While disappointed in the team’s missed opportunities, Ogunbote urged them to “pick our pieces and get it right” to achieve positive results.
He emphasized the importance of focus and effort in their upcoming match, stating, “all hands must be on deck.”
“It is not too good for us, but I think it is a temporary set back, it is not a disaster. We need to pick our pieces and get it right to get back to winning ways if actually we want to get meaningful results,” he told the club’s media.
“We still have about five days to prepare for the game, at this juncture, all hands must be on deck, we must make sure we do our best to get a positive result there,” he said.
Despite dropping to sixth position in the table, Ogunbote remains optimistic, believing that the team can overcome their current challenges and return to winning ways.
He emphasized the remaining five days of preparation as crucial in achieving a positive result in their next game.
