Senate screens new EFCC boss for confirmation
The Senate on Wednesday begun its process to confirm the newly appointed Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Mr. Ola Olukoyede.
The lawmakers are currently screening the anti-graft agency’s boss at the National Assembly.
The President, Bola Tinubu, appointed Olukoyede after the suspension of the former head of the EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, nearly four months ago.
Aside Olukoyede, Muhammad Hassan Hammajoda would also be screened as Secretary of the anti-graft agency.
The Senate will also screen Mrs Halima Shehu for appointment as the National Coordinator and Chief Executive Officer of the National Social Investment Programme Agency.
