Cristiano Ronaldo shines with a brace from the penalty spot as Al Nassr triumphs 5-2 over Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League

In a highly anticipated clash that saw a reunion of former Real Madrid teammates Cristiano Ronaldo and Karim Benzema, who recently joined Al Ittihad, Al Nassr secured a commanding 5-2 victory in the Saudi Pro League.

Al Ittihad initially took the lead with Abderrazak Hamdallah finding the net in the 14th minute. However, Al Nassr quickly responded as Ronaldo converted a penalty down the middle, leveling the score just five minutes later.

Talisca put Al Nassr in the lead in the 38th minute, but Hamdallah equalized six minutes into the second half. The iconic Ronaldo once again stepped up, scoring from the penalty spot in the 68th minute to reclaim the lead and notch his 53rd goal of 2023.

Al Ittihad faced further setbacks as Fabinho received a red card in the 66th minute, reducing them to 10 men. Seizing the opportunity, Sadio Mane showcased his prowess with goals in the 75th and 82nd minutes, sealing a comprehensive victory for Al Nassr.
