#RiversRerun: Collation officer narrowly escapes death (Photos)
News making the rounds indicate that the collation officer in Rivers State rerun legislative elections had to announce results with a broken head.
This was made known in the pictures shared on the Facebook page of Edo Peoples Voice.
In the pictures shared on the internet, the collation officer reading the result was photographed with blood stains on his head, which is an alleged evidence that the official might have escaped mob action from political thugs during the exercise.
Meanwhile, so far, two senatorial districts, three federal constituencies, and three state constituencies have been declared.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) national commissioner in the south-south, Mustapha Lecky, has assured that the exercise will not go beyond yesterday.
