#RevolutionNow: Police ignore protesters in Ondo, state reason
Ondo State Police Command has explained why it didn’t harass RevolutionNow protesters in Ore, Ondo State.
Some members of RevolutionNow had staged a peaceful protest in Ore while policemen were at a distance watching them.
They carried banner, placards and chant revolutionary songs before retreating to their homes.
Demands of the protesters included an end to insecurity in the country, stoppage of hike in fuel price, better society and improved welfare for citizens by the APC administration.
Ondo Police Command, ASP Tee-Leo Ikoro, said the police didn’t chase the protesters away because they were peaceful.
ASP Ikoro stated that the right to organisation is guaranteed in the Nigeria Constitution.
He said the protesters were peaceful and that the police allowed them without any molestation.
