The Remo Stars coach, Daniel Ogunmodede, praised his team for their resilience in beating Kwara United.

On Sunday, Remo Stars won 2-0 against Kwara United at their home ground.

The goals for Remo Stars were scored by Adebayo Olamilekan and Samad Kadri.

With this win, Remo Stars returned to the top of the NPFL table.

Ogunmodede admitted that his team felt the pressure of losing the first position before the game.

“Good performance from the boys as its a big pressure to be out of the top of the table before the game,” he told the club’s media.

“I must commend the players for been able to deal with the pressure because Kwara United came out to play in the first half which we were lucky to escape the surge.

“We upped our game in the second half when we realised the importance of victory for us.

“We are happy to be back at the top of the top,” he said

Remo Stars will take on Kano Pillars in their next league match at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
