Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has celebrated her 25th birthday in a wheelchair after months of severe pain and difficulty moving around.

The actress opened up about her health challenges and her long absence from social media in a birthday video she shared on Instagram on Saturday.

In the video, Daniels was seen sitting in a wheelchair while holding her birthday cake.

“Hi everyone. It’s my Silver Jubilee. This new phase of my life, I pray to God for total calm. Happy birthday to me,” she said.

Daniels explained that her health problems started as a minor issue but became worse over time, affecting her ability to move freely.

She said her condition took a serious turn after the Children’s Day carnival she organised, adding that she had faced one medical challenge after another.

“For several months now, I lost my freedom to move around as I please. It started as something minor, very minor, but eventually led to this,” she said.

The actress described the pain as severe, explaining that her ability to walk changes from time to time.

“The pain became, how can I explain this? The pain became excruciating. Sometimes I find myself walking well, and sometimes I just can’t move,” she said.

Daniels added that the experience had been emotionally difficult, revealing that she had cried over her condition and continued to pray for healing.

“I cried. I looked on to God for His divine healing, as He alone has the final say on my life,” she said.

In her Instagram post, the actress acknowledged that many of her fans might be surprised to see her in a wheelchair.

She explained that she decided to speak publicly about her condition to address questions about her absence from social media and update people who had expressed genuine concern about her well-being.

The development comes months after she went quiet on social media, before a video surfaced online allegedly showing her in a dispute with her husband, Senator Ned Nwoko, amid allegations of domestic violence.
