Eight students of Redeemer’s University, Ede, Osun State, have recorded success in the May 2026 qualifying ICAN exams conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.
According to Punch, the successful candidates cut across the 200, 300 and 400 levels, marking another strong performance by its students in professional accounting examinations.
The students are Daramola Mary, a 200-level student; Adekanla Ayomide and Ojedele David Olatomiwa, both in 300 level; and Odeyemi Moyinoluwa Elizabeth, Ijiola Olatomiwa Feyisola, Oyelayo Goodness Oyedamola, Taiwo Tomilola and Medal Praise Olabisi, who are all in 400 level.
Students shine in ICAN exams
Reacting to the achievement, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Shadrach Olufemi Akindele, said the performance reflects the university’s growing reputation for excellence in professional accounting education.
“The results further reinforce Redeemer’s University’s standing as a formidable nurturing ground for future chartered accountants in Nigeria,” Akindele said.
The achievement adds to a series of successes recorded by Redeemer’s University students in ICAN examinations. In May 2025, two 300-level students of the institution also qualified as chartered accountants while still pursuing their undergraduate degrees.
The university said the latest performance demonstrates the students’ commitment to professional development alongside their regular academic work and strengthens its record of preparing undergraduates for professional careers.
