Award winning Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has disclosed that he is aware that stakeholders in the Nigerian music industry has little or no regard for him.

His allegation is coming in the wake of his historic achievement as the first African to feature in FIFA official soundtrack for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

WuzupNigeria reported on Friday that he featured alongside American star, Trinidad Cardona, and Qatari sensation, Aisha, ahead of tonight’s final draw for the tournament.

A worried fan has drawn Davido’s attention that no artiste celebrated his latest achievement or posted news about it on their Instagram pages.

The Twitter user, Sonjoe Kutuh, had observed that no Nigerian artiste posted about Davido’s FIFA song.

He lamented that if it were to be other artiste, everyone would have long taken to their social media handles to share posts and celebrate.

He tweeted, “The Nigerian music industry is against Davido, no artist posted about Davido’s FIFA song, but if it was the other guy, everyone’s account will be twerking for him. Not his fault he was born rich.”

Davido replied him, “ME vs THE INDUSTRY!!!!! I LOVE IT!!”

There have been talks in recent times that when Davido celebrated his 10th year in music, his colleagues allegedly snubbed him.

Only a handful, including celebrity barman Cubana Chief Priest, who hailed the singer for his contribution to the music industry and for bringing other young artists to the limelight.

A Twitter user identified as Wande had openly expressed his anger and pondering why many singers shunned Davido on an occasion as big as his 10th music anniversary in the industry.

According to the Twitter user, most of the praises Davido got for his 10th anniversary came from few fans.

Responding to this, the sensational singer made a joke of the situation, saying not being congratulated or celebrated by his colleague is not a topic for discussion.

@wande said, “Most of the praises Davido got for his 10 years anniversary came from his fans.. his colleagues out there acting all blind and shii.

Davido replied: Nah today? Lol.”
