Qatar 2022 song: Davido unfollows Burna Boy, Wizkid, 2baba

Hours after he lamented that stakeholders in the Nigerian music industry are working against his progress, award winning singer, Davido, born David Adeleke, has unfollowed many of his colleagues on Instagram.

His allegation is coming in the wake of his historic achievement as the first African to feature in FIFA official soundtrack for the Qatar 2022 World Cup.

Taking to Twitter, Davido said that he was honoured to be considered as part of the crew chosen for the World Cup theme song, adding that it was a win for Africa.

He, however, expressed disappointment that fellow music acts, especially those in the Nigerian music industry, failed to celebrate the feat.

Piqued by the alleged snub, the father of three proceeded to click the unfollow button to ease out many of his colleagues.

Hours after he unfollowed Wizkid, Davido further eased out 2baba, Burna Boy and some others.

A check on his Instagram page shows that he is no longer following Yemi Alade, Patoranking and 2baba.

This comes after Davido disclosed that the Nigerian music industry is against him.
