Qatar 2022: Nigeria get Ghana for World Cup playoff
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have been drawn against the Black Stars of Ghana in the playoff for a spot in the 2022 Qatar World Cup.
Augustine Eguavoen’s mehn who are currently vying for their fourth Africa Cup of Nations trophy in Cameroon must defeat the Ghanians in a two-legged affair in the final round of the World Cup Qualifiers clashes.
A total of 10 teams made it through the previous round including Egypt, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Defending AFrican Champions Algeria, and Morocco, amongst others.
At least five teams will represent Africa in the FIFA World Cup after the final round of the African Qualifiers which will be played between March 21-29.
The draw held in Douala, Cameroon on Saturday was conducted by CAF Competitions Director Samson Adamu, assisted by CAF legends El Hadji Diouf and Emmanuel Adebayor.
