PHOTOS: Pregnant woman arrested during #ENDSARS demonstration in Ondo welcomes baby in prison

A pregnant woman identified as Kemisola Ogunniyi is said to have welcomed a baby at the Surulere prison where she was held for allegedly playing a role in the #ENDSARS protest in Ondo State.

Recall that the EndSARS protest in Ondo, which took place in October 2020, saw the arrest of some protesters in the state.

Activist and publisher, Omoyele Sowore, who shared her story online, claimed Kemisola was arrested by the police on October 24 on the grounds that she looked like one of the protesters that burnt the APC office in the state.

He claimed that she had been in prison where she just welcomed a baby.

Sharing the photos of the lady and her baby via a Facebook post, Sowore said, ”@RotimiAkeredolu Kemisola Ogunniyi just delivered a baby in prison.

“She was arrested in Akure during #Endsars, didn’t commit any offence, only going to the pharmacy for her mother @policeng arrested her, claimed she looks like #Endsars protesters who burnt @OfficialAPCNg office.

The green cloth on the table is the same she has been wearing in prison.

Kemisola has been imprisoned at Surulere prison in Ondo state since October 24th 2020!”
