Pregnant Korra Obidi gets standing ovation at ‘So You Think You Can Dance’ audition in US [Video]
Nigerian bellydancer, Kora Obidi, held guests and judges spellbound during her spectacular performance at the “So You Think You Can Dance’ audition in the United States.
The Nigerian professional dancer who resides in the US with her white husband, Dr Justin Dean, showed her audience that being pregnant can’t stop her from doing what she’s passionate about.
The excited dancer did all manner of dance steps and even did the splits to a song by Missy Elliott and M.I.A.

The judges present couldn’t hide their surprise and shock as they watched the Nigerians dancer dance energetically and effortless to the rhythm of the song playing in the background.
Speaking about her self, Yahoo news reports that Korra said; “If I can just create a shift in my people, that’s my life goal. Where I’m from, it’s not accepted to dream like that.
“I want every young girl in Nigeria to see that you can do anything that you want to do if you put your mind to it, pregnant or not.”
The lead judge Nigel Lythgoe said, “You are inspiring to women. Just because you’re having a baby doesn’t mean you should stop doing what you love. And that’s wonderful.”
Obidi didn’t make it through to the next round, probably out of concern for how she’d be able to keep up with other contestants as the season.
However, the expectant mother said, “performing on that stage was miraculous, and I’m happy that I got to experience it with her.”
