Afrobeat Nigerian artiste, Chukwudi Ezeagwa, popularly known as Shakar EL or Shakar Nwa Mama has slammed the less-privileged, stating that the only thing that matters to them are material things like iPhone and Benz.

He made this statement in an Instagram post on Thursday.

According to the ‘Sah Sah’ singer, most poor people flood the internet with filtered photos even though they can’t afford to get themselves basic amenities.

He said, “Some people dey use iPhone wey be like 500k but dem deh sleep on top foam wey be like rock stone

“You see why you no fit fresh and u go dey use a million filters for social media

“The only lifestyle poor people know is iPhone and Benz

“Dem go still dey wear same old pants, boxers, bra, use same old towels and toothbrush year in year out

“They only bother about things that the public will see…Before you buy that new iPhone abeg buy new towels, change your toothbrush, buy new bedsheets, buy new pants, boxers, bra etc”.
