Manchester United interim manager, Ralf Ragnick, has revealed that out-of-contract midfielder, Paul Pogba, could return for the club after the international break.

The Red Devils risk losing the Frenchman for free for a second time at the end of the 2021/22 season when his contract expires in June 2022.

Pogba, 28, returned to training on Monday for the first time since the start of November due to a thigh problem that he picked up while on international duty with France.

Speaking on the Frenchman’s return, Rangnick said, “He [Pogba] won’t be available for the two games this week but after the international break against Middlesbrough and Burnley he could be.

“Paul Pogba had his first day of training with the whole group yesterday and in the first training session, he showed what an extraordinary player he could be — Pogba won’t be available for selection in either of this week’s games, though.

“I’m very much looking forward to having him available in two weeks time after the break.”

With Pogba already free to hold talks with other clubs this January, Ragnick however admitted that his mentality in training appeared promising for the future.

“What you can see from the very first day in training yesterday is that he’s present, physically and mentally and what I saw in training was very promising for the future.”
