Brighton & Hove coach, Chris Hughton, will be a happy man if Super Eagles defender, Leon Balogun, gets playing minutes in this weekend international matches.

Balogun is just coming back from a shoulder injury and Hughton believes the defender needs the games to regain match fitness.

The player is among the players Super Eagles coach, Gernot Rohr, invited for Fridayโ€™s Africa Cup of Nations Group E qualifier against Seychelles and the international friendly against Egypt in Asaba, Delta State.

โ€˜โ€™The good thing, particularly with the cup run, is the players that havenโ€™t featured so much have at least had games,โ€™โ€™ Hughton said to Brightonโ€™s official website.

โ€œLeon Balogun, for example, is going away on international duty with Nigeria and weโ€™re hoping he plays both matches.โ€

Balogun has gone the distance in seven of the last eight Super Eagles international matches; the central defender was not in the team that played out a goalless draw with Uganda.
