PHOTOS: You won’t believe how firefighters got water to quench fire outbreak at the University of Jos
Photos have emerged from the fire outbreak that engulfed the University of Jos library on Saturday, October 8, 2016.
The tragic incident is said to happen Saturday night at the permanent site of the university in Jos, Plateau State.
A student who spoke to newsmen informed that firefighters who came to the scene had to “fetch water from a well” in an attempt to quench the flames.
In the process of retrieving water, the rope being used got severed and fell inside the well, the student said.
It was gathered that joint effort from concerned students and the firefighters eventually subdued the flames after fetching multiple buckets of water.
The cause of the fire is, however, not yet ascertained.
