Despite the heavy security presence, scores of Yoruba nation agitators including traditionalists dressed in white attires stormed the Gani Fawehinmi Park, Ojota, Lagos on Saturday.
The traditionalists were dressed in white regalia and attires with their revered ‘sarki’ were seen leading another group of demonstrators.
While raising flags, sharing fliers on the Yoruba Nation, they also chanted “Yoruba Nation Now, No going back”, “Igboho Oosa,” “No retreat, No surrender.”
The State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu, while addressing journalists, said that protesters have the right to protest, but it was not the right time to protest due to the destruction that followed the last #EndSARS protests.
