PHOTOS: Graduate abandoned as a child kneels at marketplace to thank grandma for raising him
A Ugandan graduate chooses an unusual way to show appreciation to his grandma for raising him through school after his parents allegedly abandoned him as a child.
Edward Raddy Kasenge bagged a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial and Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Management and Personnel Administration, General a from the Makerere University.
Fresh from his combination, Kasenge chose the market to express his appreciation to his grandma “who raised him after he was abandoned by his father and mother when he was one year old”, a teary Kasenge told NTV Uganda in a recent interview.
“In a special Way allow congratulating the ladies behind my academic Journey and success thanks a lot for standing by my side every time I needed you, May God bless you so much. Thanks a lot for standing by my side every time I needed you. May God bless you so much,” he said.
Kasenge’s story and photos have since gone viral and it has attracted heart-warming and encouraging reactions from friends and followers online.
Ykee Benda wrote: “This guy was abandoned by his parents when he was just one year old. The grandmother took him up, raised and educated him into a man we are all celebrating today. Hails to the grandma for raising a gentleman.”
According to Lwanga Hamidu, Kasenge’s story is so touching and in tears said God will bless the young man in all his endeavours.
Kisakye Grace added: “Congratulations bro, thank you for making mama proud. Wish you the best.”
