Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar recently hosted Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, at his home in Adamawa State.
Atiku shared a video of their meeting on Saturday through his X account, captioned, “It is breakfast time with my friend, #PeterObi, in the ‘land of beauty.’”
The video showed Atiku, Obi, and others seated at a dining table, preparing to have breakfast.
This marks another meeting between the two political figures since the 2023 presidential election. They previously met in May 2024, shortly after the polls.
Earlier this year, Obi visited other prominent politicians, including former Jigawa State Governor Sule Lamido and former Senate President Bukola Saraki, at their residences in Abuja. These visits were reported to focus on strategies to address national challenges.
At the time, Yunusa Tanko, the Chief Spokesman for Obi’s Presidential Campaign Organisation, stated that their discussions aimed to “rescue the soul of Nigeria” from the grip of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
