PHOTOS AND VIDEO! Buhari commissions Abuja light rail, Inspects airport terminal
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday commissioned the Abuja Light Rail.
According to the President’s Special Assistant on New Media, Bashir Ahmad, the Light Rail mass transit covers 12 stations within the Abuja metropolis.
He added that the rail line is the first phase of the metro line in Abuja.
After launching the train service, Buhari alongside other dignitaries took a train ride from Abuja Central area to the airport.
The President also inspected the newly-built Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport terminal of the Abuja Mass transit train service.
The rail line is the first phase of a metro line for the Federal Capital Territory.
