PHOTOS: Ambode attends Eko art exhibition in memory of Late Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi
Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Saturday, attended the Eko Art Exhibition in memory of Late Chief Rasheed Gbadamosi.
This was made known in the pictures shared on the official Facebook page of Akinwunmi Ambode few hours ago.
The governor during the exhibition tour said it is the beginning of an enduring relationship with the arts sector and the arts intelligentsia.
He said creativity is the most valuable asset in any progressive society, and promised to reward contributors of creative ideas with incentives. He said his administration is very proud to have such a rich list of artists and galleries participating in the Eko Art Expo.
Ambode stated that no nation or state can achieve its full potential without adequate attention to matters of heritage and culture. He said Tinubu Square Fountain in Lagos Island has been upgraded to international standard to scale up the tourism potentials of the state.
The governor assured that his administration will continue to preserve cultural and historical sites by developing them into world class tourism destination, noting that the state will explore arts, entertainment sector to overcome the current economic recession facing the country.
