Both Omeruo and Onazi were part of the Nigerian team that defeated the Desert Foxes of Algeria 3-1 in a 2016 World Cup qualifier that took place at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on Saturday. Kingsley Madu did not make the team as he was on the bench through out the match.
