PH serial killer: Be awake to your responsibilities, Nigerians tell FG, police to #ProtectPhGirls
Following the unfortunate/strange deaths of women in some parts of Port Harcourt, multiple reports suggest that a serial killer, who drugs and kills ladies in hotel rooms is on the prowl.
To substantiate the reports, Police operatives in Rivers State advised women not to go into prostitution to avoid being victims of killings in the state.
Chucks Enwonwu, the Deputy Commissioner of Police in the state, said this while addressing a group of protesting women at the police headquarters.

This has however caused an uproar from well-meaning Nigerians on various social media platforms who opine that even commercial sex workers have the right to life and should not be killed in cold blood.
Using the hashtag, #ProtectPhGirls, social activists, influencers, celebrities have urged the Federal government and the Nigerian police, to nip the crime in the bud.
Some also accused Governor Nysome Wike and relevant stakeholders of keeping silent stressing that every life matters.
Social activist and #EndSARS champion, Segun Awosanya, a.k.a “SEGAlink” said, “Is there a way the @PoliceNG can address this issue effective immediately? What is the Governor of the state doing about this? Have me mapped the hotels?
“It is not enough to just talk about this but do something immediately to put an end to this. #ProtectPhGirls.”

Some Twitter users shared some close shave experiences while warning that the female gender may soon be at the mercies of these unscrupulous elements.
Others opined that the Rivers State House Of Assembly make a law making it mandatory to all hotel operators in the State to demand valid ID to all their customers.

But why is everyone silent about the serial or ritual killer in PH recently?
Why is the police not doing anything to apprehend the culprit?
What measures has the government put in place to help solve this issue?
How about the state house of assembly?#ProtectPHgirls

When nigerians are killed abroad, help and response is delayed. Now nigerians are killed in their own country, same pattern!! If we aren’t safe anywhere, we should be safe at home at least. #ProtectPhGirls

We are at Ibinabo Hotel, the place where the recent victim’s body was discovered and we are saying.
Hotels have a part to play in this too.
Hotels are responsible for the safety of their guests and should be held accountable.#PHCSerialKiller #ProtectPhGirls #ProtectPHWomen pic.twitter.com/0PdonAtM8L
