Peter Obi mourns prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye
Peter Obi, the Labor Party’s presidential candidate in the last election, has expressed sorrow over the passing of Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, the leader of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement.
Prophet Abidoye passed away on Sunday morning at 10:00 AM at his home in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State, at the age of 103.
In response to the news, Obi stated via his X page on Tuesday that Prophet Abidoye was an exceptional and dedicated servant of God who positively impacted millions of lives both domestically and abroad.
“I have just received the heartbreaking news that Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, the Spiritual Father and Chairman of the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, has passed away at the age of 103.
“His passing has left a significant void not only in his denomination, the Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide but also in the entire Christian community and our nation of Nigeria.
“I extend my sincere condolences to the entire Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, the Christian Association of Nigeria, the government, and the people of Kwara State over his irreplaceable loss. May God, who called him home, grant him eternal rest,” he wrote.
