PDP chieftain urges generosity, kindness during Ramadan
The deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party in the 2023 general elections in Ogun, Honourable Abdulkabir Adekunle Akinlade, has called on Muslims to embrace the spirit of generosity and kindness during the holy month of Ramadan and beyond.
In a statement released by his media aide, Mr Azeez Adelani, Akinlade extended his heartfelt wishes for spiritual growth and a renewed faith among Muslims.
The statement conveyed Akinlade’s message: “In the face of the challenges facing our state and nation, I beseech Allah to grant us the strength and resilience to overcome adversity and thrive in this trying period and beyond.
“Let us, in accordance with the teachings of the Holy Quran, embrace the virtues of generosity, kindness, and mutual respect towards one another. It is through embodying these noble qualities that we truly fulfill our roles as faithful Muslims.
“To my dear brothers and sisters in Ogun State and beyond, I pray for a Ramadan filled with blessings, fulfillment, and spiritual enrichment. May this sacred month bring us closer to Allah and to one another.“
Akinlade’s call resonates with the essence of Ramadan, encouraging Muslims to reflect on their actions and strengthen their commitment to virtuous living.
His message emphasizes the importance of compassion, goodwill, and unity, fostering a sense of community and shared values during this holy month and beyond.
