Some concerned Nigerians have taken to Twitter to demand that the Nigeria police force parade the killers of Mr Kolade Johnson, a football enthusiast who was shot dead on Sunday by some operatives of the Special Anti-Cultism Squad of the Lagos State Police Command on Sunday.

Recall that WuzupNaija had reported that the yet to be identified officers stormed Olu Aboderin Street in the Onipetesi area of Lagos while Kolade Johnson was watching a live English Premiership League football match between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The deceased was reportedly shot accidentally by SARS officers who had been pursuing another man at the football viewing centre.

This brutal killing has been widely condemned by alist celebrities, human right activists and social media influencers who have demanded that the culprits must be brought to book.

There has been a public outcry over the killing, with thousands of people using the #EndSARS social media hashtag in the past 24 hours.

Many lambasted the Nigerian police, SARS, and other force agencies for endangering the lives of the citizens they are meant to protect.

Some also narrated similar incidences and opined that the Federal government flush “bad eggs within the Force saying the police needs to make a clear statement by parading them.

The Convener of #EndSARS campaign, Segun Awosanya, @Segalink, had also vowed that Kolade “will not die in vain.”

In a series of tweet, the activist also said “we just obtained the consent the of Late Kolade’s family to represent them and we will be filing first thing tomorrow. The case will be expedited. @AbdulMahmud01 & @citizen_gavel are on this and we always win. #EndImpunity #ReformPoliceNG #JusticeForKolade.”

One OurFavOnlineDoctor @DrOlufunmilayo said;

“The Nigerian Police should know an open parade and display of Kolade’s killers is the minimum FIRST step to taking responsibility for his murder.

“Armed murderers are bad eggs within the Force and the Police needs to make a clear statement by parading them.#ParadeKoladesKillers.

“The men who killed Kolade deserve no respect they never accorded anybody especially the man they killed, his mother they rendered childless and his child they rendered fatherless.

“Keeping them anonymous is the reason SARS continues to behave like animals.”

However, one Twitter user identified as The Accountant@AfolabiAdedoyin said the SARS officers should not be paraded because it would endanger the families and relatives of the culprits.

“I disagree on this one, this may put lifes of the family & relative in danger of the accused in danger, my own take is investigations and arriangment to court should be swift.

“This will serve as a enough deteriants to other trigger happy officers.

“have never been in support of police parading suspects they’re still innocent till proving otherwise,” he said.

Meanwhile, the Police said they have arrested a team of personnel allegedly involved in the killing, claiming that the officers were not of the SARS unit, but of the Anti Cultism unit.
