#OsunDecides2018! Announcing or publishing false election result is an offence, INEC warns
The Independent National Electoral Commission has warned against announcing or publishing false election results of the Osun governorship election.
The Commission gave the warning via their official Twitter handle @inecnigeria.
The electoral body said that the official results would be will be uploaded on INEC platforms as declared by the returning officer.

The tweet reads;
“Warning!!!
“Announcing or Publishing a false election result is an offence. It’s a criminal offence punishable by a term of imprisonment.
“The official #OsunDecides2018 results will be uploaded on our platforms as declared by the Returning Officer.
Meanwhile, forty local and international observers are present in Osun to monitor the governorship election.

Recall that WuzupNaija had reported that security operatives arrested a fake official of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Ile-Ife.
This was revealed by the president of the rights groups, Women Arise for Change Initiative and the Campaign for Democracy, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin.
WuzupNaija gathered that the fake official is a member of O’YES Cadet. He was arrested at Ife South LG, Ward 2 Unit 4 during the tour of Commissioner of Police in charge of Ile-Ife Area Command.
It was learned that the police had asked him to produce his authentic ID.
