Osun election: Davido lampoons cousin Dele for article on mum’s death

Published

Record producer and actor, David Adeleke, aka Davido, has lampooned his cousin, Dele Adeleke, for writing about his mother’s death in an article.

Recall that the ‘Holy Ground’ singer on Tuesday called out Dele Adeleke for wanting the governorship seat of Osun State, a position which his uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was also interested in.

Sharing a picture of his cousin posing with a provisional clearance certificate for the Osun State governorship election under the Peoples Democratic Party, he noted that the latter hadn’t succeeded in building “one single thing in his life on his own.”

Fastforward to Wednesday, the father of three in a series of tweets noted that although his cousin employed people to write about him, he cared less about that.

However, the fact that his mother raised his cousin, yet he had the ‘effontery’ to write about her death, is a ‘low blow’.

“Because of your ambition, you have your people write about me (which I don’t care about) but to include the death of my mother in an article; the same woman that raised you. Ok Dele, God will reward you,” Davido tweeted.
