Barcelona have signed defender Clement Lenglet from Sevilla.

According to Goal.com, the Frenchman has signed a five-year contract at Camp Nou, with Barca having paid his €35 million (£31m/$41m) release clause.

Lenglet’s deal includes a release clause, which stands at €300m (£264m/$350m), and runs until June 30 2023.

Lenglet became one of Europe’s most sought-after defenders at Sevilla, following his arrival from Ligue 1 side Nancy in January 2017.

Lenglet became the sixth Sevilla player to move to Barcelona in the past decade after Dani Alves, Seydou Keita, Adriano, Ivan Rakitic and Aleix Vidal previously swapped red and white for red and blue, with the Catalans having now sent 117 million euros to the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan since 2008.
