One dies as bus rams into truck on Lagos-Ibadan expressway
The driver of a commercial bus lost his life on Tuesday when he crashed his bus into a stationary truck around the Foursquare camp axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway before Fidiwo Bridge.
The bus with registration number AKD 417XJ had only one passenger (the driver) when the accident happened in Fidiwo in the Remo-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.
The State Sector Commander of Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Clement Oladele and Public Relations Officer of Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the incident.
Both the FRSC and TRACE disclosed that the driver lost control around Fidiwo and rammed into a stationary truck with registration number LSR198XY parked by the roadside.

According to the agencies, the commercial bus driver was the only one in the bus when the accident happened and was overspeeding when it rammed into the stationary truck, due to poor visibility.
“The corpse of the victim has been deposited at a private hospital morgue in Ipara, in the Remo-North Local Government Area of Ogun State.”
