Okada man rapes, robs Ondo lady – Police

A 23-year-old motorcyclist, Ogunleye Ayorinde has been apprehended by police operatives attached to Okuta-Elerinla division in Ondo State for alleged rape and armed robbery.

According to reports Ayorinde raped a young woman, who boarded his commercial motorcycle along Owo raid en route Alagbaka, in Akure, Ondo State, at about 7:30 pm.

He then threatened the young lady with a knife and after that led her to an uncompleted building where he raped her.

“He also collected her Android phone and forced her to transfer N120,000 from her savings account to one O’Pay account,” said a police source.

The spokesperson for the command, Funmi Odunlami, confirmed that the suspect has confessed to committing the crime.

In another event, two suspects out of 11 armed robbers who attacked a businessman, Chidi Chukwu, with cutlasses, a hammer, and other dangerous weapons was arrested by the Ondo police command.

The robbers had reportedly stolen a TVS motorcycle, blue colour with number plate BDL 082 VL, at Muslim Secondary School, Oke Aro, Akure from the victim.

The businessman was also macheted on his right hand during the attack.

The police later captured two of the robbers, Bode Hammed, 37 years old, and Ayomide Adebayo, 25 years old.

According to Odunlani, the suspects would soon be charged in court after an intensive investigation.
