Nurse allegedly robbed, stabbed by ‘one-chance operators’ in Lagos

A Twitter user identified simply as Gbenro has narrated how a nurse was allegedly stabbed by one-chance operators in Ikoyi, Lagos.

According to Gbenro, the nurse had boarded a commercial minibus from Lekki to the mainland.

Midway through the journey, she discovered that her co-passengers were robbers when they brought out knives and threatened to stab her if she refuses to hand over her belongings.

Gbenro said the nurse screamed for help when the bus passed a police checkpoint along Dolphin Estate road, the policemen on duty ignored her and allegedly did nothing.

After stripping her of all valuables, the assailants were said to have stabbed and tossed her out of the bus.

In the midst of the torture, the nurse said she was able to get the number plate of the vehicle and headed to the nearest police station to report the robbery.

According to her, the police officers at the first station said they had closed.

When she struggled to get to another station, she was allegedly quizzed on how she came about using two phones.
