NRC suspends Abuja-Kaduna train operations as bandits kill two, injure many
The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced the temporal suspension of train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route.
This comes after two people were reportedly killed as bandits attacked a train that had about a thousand people on board, leaving many others injured on Monday.
According to reports, the Kaduna-bound train was about 25 kilometres to its destination when the terrorists attacked with explosives and guns.
Reacting to the incident in a statement on Tuesday, the NRC said it was forced to suspend operations along the route due to the terrorist attack.
“Dear passengers, due to unforeseen circumstances, Train operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route has been temporarily suspended.
“Further Communication would be given in due course,” NRC tweeted.
