Nigerian popstar, Davido, has set Twitter on fire after several intimate pictures of him and a 22-year-old American Instagram model, Mya Yafai, hit the internet.

In one of the pictures, the singer is seen giving Yafai a french kiss. The Fem singer was first linked with the American Instagram model earlier this month. Furthermore, Yafai is rapper Young M.A’s ex-girlfriend.

The photos have made Davido’s fiancee, Chioma Rowland, trend on Twitter as people share their opinion about Davido’s new-found love. So far, she is currently trending at number one on Twitter with over 20,000 tweets.

Oluwafunmilayo via her Twitter handle @FunmiKolz, took a stand with the popular singer as she believes he is not cheating on Chioma. “Davido isn’t cheating on Chioma, he can’t even cheat on her cos there’s Assurance already, that’s just another movie scene. Yoruba men don’t cheat,” she tweeted.

Airing her views, Tife via her handle @Tife_fabunmi, opines that the pictures are from a movie set. She believes the film would be a blockbuster.

“Davido can never cheat on Chioma, those pictures are definitely from a movie scene, y’all don’t forget Davido is not only an artiste, he’s an actor too. I can’t wait for the movie to drop, definitely going to be a blockbuster,” she wrote.

For Salman, she noted via her handle @NotJustSalmanPR, that the singer’s action would have a ripple effect due to his celebrity status. 

“These celebrities don’t know their influence on people. See the way Davido is cheating on Chioma openly. Now Davido fans will start seeing cheating as a normal thing,” she tweeted.

Also, Assurance takes the number six spot on Twitter courtesy of Davido’s lovey-dovey pictures with his new flame. 

Assurance is a song the singer made for his fiancee, Chioma, in 2018. Visuals of the song also featured the young lady. The theme of the song centred on the fact that the singer vowed to always love her. 

On Twitter, popular influencer, Omojuwa, via his handle, @Omojuwa,

simply wrote, “God is your only source of assurance!”

Another tweep, @ajehswag, simply wrote, “It was Peruzzi that wrote assurance. So technically Davido wasn’t the one that promised Chioma assurance.”
