Nigerians react as Omokri lambastes CAN over visit to Buhari
Reno Omokri, the former spokesman of ex-president Goodluck Jonathan, has reacted to the visit of Christian Association of Nigeria [CAN] to so Rock to congratulate President Buhari on his victory in the concluded presidential election.
CAN visited President Buhari on Friday 29 March 2019 with the association leader, Rev. Samson Ayokunle, revealing that some individuals attempted to prevent their visit to congratulate the President.
Writing via his verified Twitter account, Omokri claimed that the CAN could visit President Buhari to congratulate him, but he is currently unaware of their visit to Leah Sharibu’s family and other victims of terrorist acts.
He wrote,
I saw Christian Association of Nigeria leaders gathered to congratulate @MBuhari. I asked when did CAN leaders gather to visit Leah Sharibu’s family, or S Kaduna people killed by herdsmen, or the family of Eunice Elisha, beheaded for preaching? According to Obasanjo, CAN my foot!,” he wrote.

Nigerians on Twitter have however question Omokri motives, noting that the “bastardisation of CAN” started under Jonathan and the PDP.
Castigating them now???! Buh the them can in 2014/2015 did nothing wrong always hanging around and praying for and openly declaring support for your boss Jonathan. I’m wondering if there were no killings, kidnapped girls and more at the time.

Killings where? were there chained killings then like in this govt? We all know who was behind Boko Haram b4 it got out of hands.
…and he’s now aiding Fulani herdsmen killers. At least, he is in power now. Police/security never brought any to book.

Under Jonathan Boko Haram was in charge of 17 Local Govts, Bombing was daily in Abuja, so bad that UNO and Nig Police Headquarters were bombed. Jos, Kaduna, Kano etc were under locked down by the Boko guys. May we never witness GEJ type of leadership in Nigeria again, amen.

What financial gain would they get from visiting Leah Sharibu?. CAN of worms

Same CAN you and Atiku ran to for endorsement, we actually understand that PDP had a deal with them. You seem pained more by their betrayal than their inaction on Leah Sharibu’s case

Nobody is against them congratulating whoever won an election though… But, have they done their primary assignment as a sect? NO
Afterall, this is Nigeria!— Lord Chris (@iamNkemChris) 30 March 2019
Dear Reno, when you were with Gej chopping. Nobody dy hear ur voice. Allow CAN too, to chop them own. Stop behaving as if you have this country at heart, you dont sir. Its all about personal interest.

While this should be condemned, don’t forget that your party started the Bastardisation of Can under Ayo Oristejafor!
Now reap what you sowed, but all these old men too, why don’t they go and sit down somewhere? Ooo I realized it’s all about the Money

They were not congratulating the president. This was a meeting held in Aso Rock yesterday with the President and they probably had a hand shake with the president while they were there. I guess this was a group photograph about to be taken if am not mistaken. Get your facts clear
