Nigerians are not afraid of talking about recession, read what they are saying
On Wednesday last week, it was announced that Nigeria has officially fallen into recession.
The figures revealed by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that the country’s GDP growth rate slid from -0.36 per cent in the first quarter to -2.06 per cent year-on-year. But Nigerians are not afraid to talk about it. In fact they are giving advice, lamenting, comforting each other, venting anger and even making jokes about it.
