You may have heard about a hundred and one reasons why relationships break apart; infidelity, lack of trust, financial reasons among many other ridiculous, flimsy reasons, but you may not have heard or seen this before.

Just when we thought we have seen and heard it all about the likely issues that could sink a relationship, there seems to be a new addition to the compendium of likely issues that could end a love affair between two lovebirds.

Where else could you have seen that if not on social media, the home of bizarre, savage and hilarious happenings?

A Nigerian man took to Twitter on Friday to share the story of how his British-Nigerian girlfriend broke up with him after he slaughtered a chicken in her presence.

Trust Nigerians, we don’t do our things the conventional way, we always ply the unusual route.

The Twitter user with the handle @Otunbakush said instead of killing the chicken with a knife, he strangulated and his action left his girlfriend in awe prompting her to sign out of the relationship after just five months.

He tweeted:

“I once dated a British Nigerian babe for 5months….she broke up with me cos of the way I killed a chicken…I still dey laugh till tomorrow…

“Tíed the legs of the chicken put rubber band on the beak, just gave the neck a hard pull…mo ja ọrùn weire kúrò mehn.”
