Nigeria recovers ₦2.4bn Ibori loot – Justice Minister
Nigeria has recovered the sum of £4,214,017.66 (₦2,437,849,249.48) looted by the family of a former Delta State Governor, James Ibori, the Attorney-General of the Federation has Abubakar Malami said.
This was disclosed in a statement released by the spokesman of the Minister of Justice, Dr. Umar Gwandu, on Tuesday.
The PUNCH revealed that the recovered loot has been deposited into the designated Federal Government account with naira equivalent value of the amount as of May 10, 2021.
