No fewer tha seven poeple, including policemen, have been killed after an alleged assassination attempt on the Senior Pastor and General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries International, Apostle Johnson Suleman.
The controversial cleric who was said to have just returned from Tanzania reportedly escape the attack, according to his lawyer, Samuel Amune.
At least three of his police orderlies and four yet-to-be-identified persons. were brutally murdered during what appeared to be an assassination statement on the controversial cleric on Warake road in Auchi, Edo State.
Amune told The PUNCH that the attack took place at Warake road in Auchi, Edo State
“He was returning from a journey and he had almost on the shores of Auchi when some assassins attacked him. Three of his police orderlies, among others died. He travelled before and just finished a program in Tanzania.
“He was returning to Auchi when the gunmen attacked him along Sabingida down to Warake area, and Auchi shares direct boundary with Warake. So, he had passed Warake and was entering the boundaries of Auchi when the attack happened,” he said.
