NDLEA arrests 95 suspects, seizes illicit drugs in Delta

The Delta State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has announced the arrest of 95 suspected drug traffickers and the seizure of various illicit substances across the state.

State Commander Halilu Hamidu revealed the figures in Asaba, stating that the arrests were made in different locations throughout October.

According to him, of the 95 suspects apprehended, 71 were males and 24 females.

Hamidu also confirmed that the Agency confiscated 21.4339 kilograms of illicit drugs, along with 21.4339 litres of a mixture containing cannabis, codeine/syrup and other controlled substances during the period under review.

He listed the seized drugs to include: cannabis sativa (21.339 kg), Tramadol (1.5663 kg), Diazepam (0.423 kg), Swinol/Rophynol (0.638 kg), Molly (0.0062 kg), Methamphetamine (0.0846 kg), Cocaine (0.008 kg), and Heroin (0.013 kg).
