Lagos businessman faces life imprisonment for raping three underage daughters



The Nasarawa State Police Command successfully apprehended a notorious phone snatcher, Zahraddeen Ja’afaru, residing in the Angwan Jaba area of Lafia, the state capital.

This information was revealed by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Ramhan Nansel, in a statement issued to newsmen on Wednesday in Lafia.

The arrest of Ja’afaru came in response to a complaint filed at the ‘A’ Division, Lafia, on Tuesday, regarding a house burglary behind Sabo Garage, where culprits stole three mobile phones and a power bank.

Nansel detailed the police operation, stating, “Police operatives attached to the said Division carried out a comprehensive investigation which led to the arrest of one Zahraddeen Ja’afaru ‘M’ of Angwan Jaba, Lafia. A search warrant was executed at his residence where four (4) stolen phones and a power bank were recovered. Furthermore, seventy-one (71) SIM cards of different network service providers were also recovered as exhibits.”

The suspect, Zahraddeen Ja’afaru, admitted his involvement in a series of house-breaking, theft, and snatching of handsets from the public in Lafia and its environs.

State Commissioner of Police, CP Umar Shehu Nadada, issued directives to the Divisional Police Officer to enhance efforts in apprehending the suspect’s accomplices.

Stressing the importance of a thorough investigation, CP Nadada urged swift action to ensure that all culprits face justice.
