Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved all political appointees serving in his government.

Governor Sule made this announcement on Friday, February 7, during a valedictory session with Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants, and Personal Assistants at the Executive Council Chambers, Government House.

While addressing the outgoing officials, Sule thanked them for their service and contributions to the development of the state. He assured them that some might be reappointed in different roles.

“I appreciate your dedication and the roles you have played in supporting this administration. Although this marks the end of your current appointments, some of you may still be called upon to serve in other capacities,” the governor said.

Governor Sule also swore in a new Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Barrister Labaran Magaji, who was the immediate past Commissioner and Attorney General of the state.

In addition, he inaugurated the Sole Administrator of Udege Development Area in Nasarawa Local Government, as well as the Chairman and board members of the College of Education, Akwanga.

He urged the new appointees to work diligently to support his administration’s goals. “I expect you to be committed and to contribute meaningfully to the success of this government,” Sule stated.

The governor had earlier dissolved the state executive council in January. He also revealed that he has sent a list of 16 commissioner nominees to the Nasarawa State House of Assembly for screening.
