NAF opens 2025 recruitment for airmen, airwomen

The Nigerian Air Force has announced the start of its 2025 recruitment for Airmen and Airwomen under the Basic Military Training Course 46/2025.

The Force made this known in a post on its official X handle on Monday, saying the online registration will begin on October 14 and close on November 25, 2025.

It noted that the registration is completely free and should only be done through its official portal at [http://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng](http://nafrecruitment.airforce.mil.ng).

According to the announcement, after completing the online form, applicants must print and submit the acknowledgment slip, parent or guardian consent form, and local government attestation form.

The statement added that the forms must be signed by authorized officials such as a military officer not below the rank of Wing Commander, a police officer of at least Chief Superintendent rank, a substantive local government chairman or secretary, or a magistrate from the applicant’s state of origin.

“The Local Government Attestation Form must include a passport photograph and a photocopy of the signee’s driver’s licence, national ID card, or international passport,” the post stated.

The Nigerian Air Force further explained that only Nigerian citizens are eligible to apply. Male applicants must be at least 1.66 metres tall, while female applicants must not be less than 1.63 metres tall. All candidates must also be medically, physically, and mentally fit according to NAF standards.

For those applying as non-tradesmen or women, the age limit is between 18 and 22 years. They must also have at least five credits, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings in WAEC, NECO, GCE, NABTEB, or NBAIS. Applicants are also required to provide their secondary school testimonial.

For tradesmen and women, candidates must be between 18 and 27 years old. They must possess a National Diploma (ND) or National Certificate in Education (NCE) with at least lower credit, alongside five credits, including English and Mathematics.

Applicants applying as drivers must have a valid driver’s licence and trade test certificates, in addition to the required academic qualifications.

For sportsmen and sportswomen, evidence of professional experience, such as certificates and medals, must be presented.

NAF warned that all applicants must have a clean record with no criminal convictions.

It added that shortlisted candidates would be contacted through the recruitment portal for the zonal general aptitude test at a later date.
